My mother is holding Midge, one of our first Dwarf Nigerian babies.
Precious! And we miss her.
RAINS FREEDOM FARM
We are a small, 2 acre farm, located in North-Central Oklahoma, dabbling in small, homestead experimental farming and gardening. All of our animals are seen and inspected almost daily. Since most of our goats are very people oriented, they not only make great additions to the farm table, but also are wonderful pets. We also have feral Italian bees, but they are not very interactive unless you make them mad ;)
Striving to provide a chemical free environment as much as possible, our gardens, orchard, vineyard, and nut trees are being farmed in a sustainable way by giving back and feeding the soil. Since gardening has mostly been with prevailing drought conditions in most of the midwest, (except 2018-2019 season!!) we are learning to raise our open pollinated crops with special attention to water resources. God originally told Adam in the garden to be "fruitful and multiply". It is a privilege to learn how to tend His creation and make it thrive more each year.
